In more than a quarter-century as a journalist, I have developed some of the finest reporters in the business, serving as a supervising editor, writing coach, content planner, section coordinator and copy editor. Before moving up to a managerial role, I was a reporter/writer/columnist. I have transformed the sports sections of two major daily newspapers into annual award-winners and helped several reporters achieve nationally renowned status.
